We met while attending Hayward High School in Hayward, California where we began dating in 1969. We were married on September 10, 1972 and later sealed in the Oakland Temple on October 6, 1979 after Sister Alston had joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on September 30, 1978.
We have five children (Steven, David, Michael, Jonathan and Bethany) and six grandchildren (Kassidy, Isaak, AnnMarie, Audrey, Katherine and Edwin.
We have held numerous leadership positions in the church and served the Sacramento Temple.
We enjoy backpacking, kayaking, family camping, family history, art and traveling together.
